RAVENS PLAN TO FOOL MAN

A photographic journey through the Tongass National Forest in Southeast Alaska, written by Nancy Hollenbeck, born in Anchorage. Nancy combines her photographs of various Tongass National Forest areas with her hand painted watercolor portraits of the animals, and people, found within it’s territory.

In summary....

Deep in the Tongass National Forest of Southeast Alaska, the Raven presents his plan to fool man. He asks that all the animals join together to make the hunters think the forest is enchanted. The animals agreed.

The plan  works and frightens the hunters away. They all leave except one?old Charlie. This hunting season becomes a contest between the old hunter and the wild animals of this Alaskan forest.
